Who are We?

The Comforter Foundation is a 501 c(3) nonprofit organization founded by Sheila Webb  and her daughter Porsha Webb-Reid  in 2019 . We foreseen a need to help  veterans families, non-veterans families and hospice patients families within the Memphis and Shelby County Tennessee area to assist with burial and funeral expenses, who are financially incapable.  The Comforter Foundation assist with funeral planning to help grieving families organize a homegoing service to meet their desires and at the same time taking the stress off the love ones in the planning process. The Comforter provides additional services such as, educational consultation on the importance of insurance or pre-plan services and emotional or spiritual support.  The Comforter Foundation is an organization that will share other’s burdens, to relieve, participate, support and stand beside in mercy, grace and love during the time of grief and bereavement. The goal and mission of the organization is to accumulate funds to dignify the death of a families’ love one, to help  relieve  the stress and worry of the financial burden during this time of bereavement.
